- What's your favorite part of writing? That's a hard question... I enjoy many parts, but I'm going to pick the "aha moment" I often experience when brainstorming a plot and finding a key element of the story I'm about to write (e.g. a plot twist or crucial worldbuilding element).

- What's the scariest thing you've ever written? Hesitating between skin magic in A Legacy of Blood and Bone, aka consuming your own skin (yikes) to steal other people's lifeforce, and my folk horror novelette The Hunger of Paradise and its claustrophobic setting and dreadful ending.

- Do you usually write happy, sad, or other types of ending? I love writing open, bittersweet endings. They're mostly positive, but they often come after a lot has been lost and cannot be recovered. What happens after the story ends is a lot of healing together πŸ–€

- What's your least favorite part of writing? Getting started. I usually have ideas for my next WIPs a long time before I start writing them (often because I'm already working on something else). When comes the time to start brainstorming/outlining (aka working on it for real)... I drag my feet πŸ˜…

- Where do your ideas come from? Dreams, other books, or random ideas/prompts. One time the idea for a novelette came from my phone's autocomplete feature (proof in quote πŸ˜€). Said novelette is Moon Dust, a sci-fi thriller available for free to my newsletter subscribers ☺️

My next book is called The Sopranos and the First Time Machine. Okay, I need to write a story about a time traveling mobster now.

- What are your favorite themes? Honestly? I don't have a favorite, or favorites. I like to explore many themes in my writing. It's not impossible that my readers may identify common themes or underlying messages across my books, but it's not intentional.

- What's the most wholesome thing you've ever written? Ughhh that's a hard one. I'm going to pass and maybe a reader of mine can chime in with their opinion πŸ˜‚

- Have you ever had writer's block? Not really. Sure, there have been moments staring at the page wondering how I was doing to pull that off, or how to start a chapter, but I just try a thing or two until I find one I like! As for new ideas, so far I've always had enough to keep me going πŸ’™

- What drives you to write? I've always loved reading and wanted to create my own stories and worlds. And since I started, I can't stop for too long before feeling that itch to go back in front of my computer and create. I can't really explain it. I feel that *need* to create something.
