So I think the thing that annoys me most about the recently announced #beatles movie is that none of the actors cast as the Beatles are Scouse. This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that almost every time there's a Scouse character, they never stay Scouse for the adaptation.

As an adopted scouse, I'm disgusted. It's as if they got a Colombian to play an Uruguayan - we're nothing alike. But nothing surprising, they made a Brazilian play Pablo Escobar in Narcos, and most of the main cast wasn't even Colombian. These people have no respect for culture.

Normally I bring this up with adaptations of Constantine who has been played by Keanu Reeves, Matt Ryan and in the recent sandman adaptation they had Jenna Coleman replace him as his cousin from London. Constantine being Scouse has always been a key point. But that's a fictional character.
