I'm running ethernet over wire along the baseboards all around my house. Primarily because my home is 100+ years old, and I haven't reached out to a contractor for setting up full house cat6/8.

ebay has some cheaper ones, search for frontier moca FCA252 I got a pair for like $40, and they are working great to connect (at gbe speeds!) a unifi gateway to a unifi switch in the basement using an old cable run
