I'm thinking of migrating the database from Heroku to CrunchyData. Should I do this? Please talk me out of it 😅

Why?

That is a good question! A couple of reasons. I can create multiple databases so I can migrate to solid queue easier (Redis is overkill for my low scale app). Several people told me already that CD is way faster. The biggest reason, I'm starting to trust Heroku a bit less these days.

How can't you create another postgres add-on on heroku for solid queue?

Yes you can. But that is an additional $$$ for every database. With PS you can create as many databases as you'd like and keep paying the same. My aim is to have the default Rails stack In the end with all the Solid/Cable stuff on separate databases.
