The media keeps focusing on spreadsheets. Consultants keep focusing on spending that used to make them rich. I’m focused on wins. 💪 90% Democratic overperformance in elections 🧹 30-0 in statehouse flips 💵 ~50% more cash on hand than 2018 Read my op-ed in @thehill.com: thehill.com/opinion/camp...

thehill.comThe numbers don’t lie: The DNC is winning where it matters mostThe media is evaluating party strength through the same lens used to evaluate campaigns: money raised, money spent, and quarterly comparisons. But parties are not campaigns.

The DNC is getting a lot of coverage right now, but much of it is missing the bigger picture. Fundraising numbers are being treated as the whole story. They’re not.

Yes, Republicans raised about 16% more in 2025. But that number gets reported without context: They control the White House and are operating with a corrupt, transactional politics where donors fear Trump's retribution. That’s not a model Democrats want to replicate.

Meanwhile, what’s actually happening on the ground? Under @kenmartin.bsky.social, @democrats.org are overperforming in ~90% of elections. And we’ve flipped 30 state legislative seats. Republicans? 0. That’s not theory. That’s results -- and it’s why the old model is pushing back.

These wins are the result of a strategic shift by @kenmartin.bsky.social to invest in: ☑️state parties ☑️candidate recruitment ☑️organizers on the ground Moving us away from the short-term, consultant-driven spending model -- and toward building real, durable Democratic Party infrastructure.

Yes and yes. But then Obama won and diverted the DNC's/state parties' resources to OFA for eight years. We won the WH twice but also lost 1,000+ statehouse seats as a result of the unilateral disarmament at the state party level.
