🚨 PLANE CRASH IN GEORGIA Two people are dead after a small aircraft took a fatal plunge from the sky roughly 20 minutes after takeoff from Georgia's Covington Municipal Airport on Saturday night. The cause of the crash will be investigated.

I'd have no computation about travellings on a commercial flights. Still the safest form of travel. But private planes have always given me the heavier jeebies. Age and maintenance issues are not as well regulated.

People are dying because of Trumps cuts, mismanagement and putting a Fox host in charge of the FAA. This is the 8th aviation fatal disaster in a month. Why isn't the MSM demanding answers for his failure to the make American skies safe. Victims families deserve answers. 😡

Plane crashes are up, measles are spreading, bird flu is spreading, prices are rising, government employees are increasing unemployment, disease researchers are losing funding, starving children are told to get jobs…are we great yet?

Plane crashes are not up. Plane crash reporting is up. DCA is the horrible exception, and as far as I can see (breaking my rule of not speculating until the NTSB Final report is out) it was a disaster waiting to happen.

Sean Duffy along with 180 Republicans voted to defund the Federal Aviation Administration in 2019. They voted against the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2019, which included funding for the agency responsible for keeping air travel safe.

Small private planes are the ones that are most likely to crash. And it happens all the time. We're just paying attention now. That said, ATCs have been understaffed for at least 20 years and near misses have been piling up - esp in the past 5 years.

Military planes like the San Diego jet also go down with more frequency than people who don’t live near bases realize. (Hitting a passenger plane, though, that’s definitely not what I’m talking about)

I agree. All crashes are horrible. But I live in a highly populated state and I swear every other week there is a report of a small plane down. So, we are all feeling heightened because of the dangerous cuts/firings, which can only make things far worse. Unfortunately, this happens all the time.

Agree. I think people’s frustration and anger is more about the stupidity & hypocrisy from MAGA. When anything happened under Biden, MAGA SCREAMED that Buttigieg was responsible & should be fired. Now? Crickets.
