Don't Fence Trump In v1.3 (exc.) [Cole Porter "Don't Fence Me In"] I want to break all the laws like my mentor Putin And rig all elections so there's no disputin' I'll send in my goon squads if someone needs shootin' Don't fence Trump in 5/6 My GOP won't fence Trump in 6/6

Politics is a lowest-common-denominator game. We should elect our best and brightest, people of good character whom we can trust to conduct public business honorably. But often we're fooled by the best liars, who appeal to our prejudices and promise us whatever we want to hear.

James Talarico is a compassionate man who tries to actually follow the spirit of Christ's teachings, not just use Christianity as window dressing like so many "Christians" on the right. He should defeat Ken Paxton, a poster child of corruption, impeached by the Texas House.

Sadly, Ken Paxton might "best represent" Texas in the same sense that Donald Trump best represents the USA: They represent common faults. We should instead try to elect people who embody our best traits, so leaders with integrity can make us better as a nation. Character matters.

Authoritarians like Putin, Trump and Netanyahu will provoke as much chaos as necessary to distract public attention from their incompetence and malfeasance. Autocrats will even start or continue unnecessary wars to distract voters from domestic problems, hoping to avoid justice.
