this would have absolutely destroyed any chance of me paying attention in class if i had this during high school lmaoo anyways i was here before this blew up

god same, although being able to do that now at work is exactly why i made this lmao

Oh no I'm so screwed I love picross and hated that they never ported these to PC I ran into an issue with the game, though. Sometimes clicking to mark with left MB will just... behave as if I had marked it with the right MB (the X) and it won't go away until I clear it with right MB.

ooh yeah, fix for this should be coming out soon but it's a built in feature to swap to the other tool when you hold the button for a second, should be able to toggle it off once the update is out

yes and no! you can see friends' times on each level on the site but there isn't any kind of head to head multiplayer mode yet ala picross ds (although that game's multiplayer maps are included and can be played solo)

I was more so thinking of the co-op mode from the switch picross games, where two people could work on the same board (sort of like the snes games) I've been looking for a game that has that as a online feature, this would be so cool if implemented here

THIS IS SO NICE if i may suggest one feature, i think it'd be nice if we could turn off the hold to place an x, my brain keeps waiting for it to register the fill and doing that by accident lol

Also if I have but one request -- I'd like the tutorial levels to play normally when assists are toggled off, for no assist badge collectors like I. I managed to find a lil quirk to exploit to get such badges by skipping the tutorial on a slide where the puzzle is filled in, but that's not the same!

This is so cool and awesome and will absolutely terrible for my note taking abilities during boring classes lmao question, do u have plans to implement the pokemon mechanics of Pokemon Picross later down the line?

i had an over year long period of brainrot where i played all of base pkmn picross entirely f2p and i found the pokemon to be very fun and/or useful to use for some of the really hard levels of that game.

the pokemon abilities might come at a later point! i have a list of game specific mechanics that i want to maybe find a way to implement, but it's a bit of a delicate balance esp with the social features

this is awesome, but it keeps misinputting X's when i'm clicking normally and it's really annoying. i'm on laptop trackpad rn if that could be the culprit

trackpad could be doing it! if you go to the settings there's a "hold to erase marks" setting, you can increase the threshold to 2 seconds or disable it and see if that helps

did you hand transcribe all of these puzzles????? this is insane, i cannot wait to waste my life on this

nope! every puzzle was pulled out of each original game's data and converted to the same format for the site

12,000 puzzles is an absolutely unhinged amount of Picross. The level editor and social features make this way more tempting than they have any right to be.

Hooooly shit this is about to be my whole month Thank you so much for compiling it, the Picross S games are so rad but sometimes I don't wanna pull my Switch out for 'em

i'm so happy you're enjoying it!! exactly the same issue here, I love the S games but haven't played nearly as much of them as I'd like to since they're stuck on switch

this project would not have been possible without all of the talented work done by Jupiter Corporation on the Picross series over the past 30 years, I hope this collection allows more people to appreciate their work. Special thanks to Emma for helping w/ the social features, and to my beta testers

THANK YOU FOR ENJOYING IT!! watching you get addicted to a game i've loved for years has been so much fun

will probably have a more detailed writeup on this later but because this has been blowing up way faster than anticipated, quick AI disclosure:

looking into the grey screen issue and that's probably going to be it on the site for me today. quick AI disclosure: using a local AI model to identify the issue and likely will for debugging going forward

apologies for not posting anything sooner on this, I have (complicated) thoughts on this and wanted to write up a proper piece but didn't expect this to blow up as quickly as it did

Okay, playing it a bit, my biggest gripe is as a mouse player, there's no mark binding? I can't find a way to set the 🔸mark binding thing to middle mouse at all tbh.

ooh, will update this! did most of my testing on a trackpad so it slipped my mind

not in the immediate future! i do have language data extracted for some of the games but a number of them were not localized (especially the older ones), but given the scope of the project it'd be a large translation job without resorting to machine translation which I wouldn't want to do

I was just saying the other day that it amazed me that this didn't exist, I'm beyond grateful for your work on this. My wife and I LOVE Picross (she completed all the Switch ones! I'm working my way through the 3DS ones) and we'll enjoy this lots! 💕

ever since S+ launched I've been thinking about something like this and it just felt like the moment to make it happen

this is awesome for someone like me whose been getting into picross very recently! my only note is that i’d love to see a way you can sort the games by release date in the selection menu. that would be neat i think! besides that, this rocks a ton from what i’ve tested!!

will def add this! you can manually rearrange games in the settings but there's no other included sort options rn

one of the big reasons i made it! right now it's closed source and likely will be for the near future. at the start of the project i wasn't planning on making this public at all so the repository needs a lot of cleanup, especially in terms of the amount of copyrighted assets it has

a local AI model was used with certain parts of development, more details in the attached post

will probably have a more detailed writeup on this later but because this has been blowing up way faster than anticipated, quick AI disclosure:

I used to play every day in photography class (I would do my editing at home so I had a lot of free time in class). If this was out then it would have been my go to. Going to dive in now!
