Rotate who plays the Slasher and drives the story forward. Improvise to build a legendary evil from the ground up. Play out scenes inspired by classic horror scenes as you imagine tense music and dark atmospheres.

The Victims play by drawing playing cards and reading the prompts that correspond. These prompts will put you in danger, and sometimes kill you. If you are lucky they will provide the Backstory, Weaknesses, and Slasher Aspects you will need if you want a chance to End the Nightmare.

The Slasher plays by narrating scenes and setting the tone. They Create Dread by picking up all the cards that the Victims draw, which can be spent like poker hands to make terrible things happen.

Every playtest I ran went totally differently. We created some truly memorable Slasher villains. I was very pleased to see how this game brings out the creativity in folks. I hope you play it for your Halloween one-shot season, and let me know how it goes. I had a lot of fun making it.
