What the fuck makes you think I'm "marching rightward"?

While I'm not a absolutist I'm more interested in asking how could one protect anything than quibble about the line when we're not in the hot seat.

I am going to speak up and protect free speech. Period. It's not "both sidesing" anything. This is wholly a warning to one side not to fucking obey in advance and hand the other side a weapon they will gleefully take and use. Feel free to block me if you don't like what I have to say.

The incumbent party lost in a global anti-incumbency wave, and outperformed almost every other democracy on earth. It fucking sucks. I'm miserable. But the basic forces of reality and politics did not vanish overnight.

I don't blame speech for what happened. I blame those that equate calling bullshit with censorship. I blame those that believe that the right to speak means the right to be listened to.

Yes, but they won't listen to me. I'm trying to get those on the flipside not to help his goons out.

Its not the need to seek regulation of social media or broad restrictions of it. It's the need to build a matching media infrastructure.

I didn't say anything about college students. Nor do I believe that at all. Why even bring up college students? And I'm not "coming back to" any conclusion. I'm saying DO NOT GIVE THEM MORE TOOLS. Do not capitulate in advance. And use what tools we do have to shore up speech, not wish it away.

People need to realize they need to go on. Don't give up and dissappear into depression. Eventhough it's understandable. Winning as yourself, helps to survive the tremendous loss... It's really the only way forward.
