I've stopped recommending Figma to freelancers. As a developer, I lose the features I need most (Dev Mode, comments, real-time collaboration) because licenses are tied to teams, not accounts. I end up duplicating files just to work. @penpot.app deserves a serious look.

Totally agree. Pablo is a true open source advocate, and it really shows in the philosophy behind the whole Penpot team.

It's not just about licenses or cost. It's about the team behind Penpot, its commitment to accessibility, and the fact that it's open source. I recommend Penpot more and more every day.

Honestly, I'm tired of Figma's licensing model. Everything feels designed for large companies, startups and enterprise teams, while freelancers and small studios are left juggling team licenses just to collaborate. We deserve better.
