Jace's Echoverse is like a flickering and insubstantial film blanketing the Multiverse. It affects everything, but it's not real yet. While it's tempting to go wide with the story at that scale, #MTGFracture focuses on the characters at the heart of it all.

That doesn't mean we can't have a little "Planar Chaos-esque What If's?" though! Mark Rosewater talks about Enlightened Confidant and how despite being a clear nod to Dark Confidant, it stays within its piece of the color pie.

We also get to show off a Booster Fun for #MTGFracture in the Shattered Mirror version of Enlightened Confidant.

How about one more friend with a familiar yet new feeling? Claw, there it is! #MTGFracture

Look. If anything is going to shatter some glass, it's going to be Craterclaw Colossus. #MTGFracture

New with #MTGFracture: the Secret Lair Bundle! This will be available just about anywhere Magic is sold, with goodies including a promo pack containing 2 of 10 possible mythics from the set in a Secret Lair Style. A Secret Lair Style like these three cards!

Let's step away from #MTGFracture and start a look forward at what Magic looks like in 2027. That includes the three Magic Multiverse sets of the year, next year's FOUR(!) MagicCons, and the next iteration of Mystery Booster.

Mystery Booster Commander Edition comes to MagicCons and Festival in a Box later this year! This is a Commander draft set featuring 20 card packs, tons of Legendary reprints, and 59 new cards designed for Commander play.

Who likes Homelands!? You'll LOVE Joven and Chandler!

It's not all lore deep cuts, though. Some are just cute like Tolabow! Tolabow also has Rulebreaker! This new mechanic appears on eight cards in the set and allows for some wild changes to your deck. All of these cards were designed alongside the Commander format panel team.

We're excited to announce that the return of the Pro Tour Hall of Fame is, THIS YEAR! We're sharing more details this Sunday on our Pro Tour stream right after the Quarter Finals. Make sure to tune in at twitch.tv/Magic!

Let's dive into our first set of 2027 with a sneak peek at Nauctis: The Sunken Realm. #MTGNauctis

Nauctis is a vast underwater world that stretches from the welcoming shallows to the deep abyss. Countless mysteries await beneath the waves and we can't wait to share how the different colors of mana function under the sea. #MTGNauctis

Merfolk, sharkfolk, squidfolk, and even some air breathers in some wild looking diving suits. Nauctis marks the beginning of the next story arc of Magic and releases on February 5th, 2027. #MTGNauctis

You'll be able to celebrate the launch of Nauctis a few weeks later as MagicCon heads to the Motor City for our first show of the year! Mark your calendars, MagicCon Detroit takes place February 26th - 28th!

Our second show of 2027 takes us somewhere brand new for MagicCon. We're headed to Japan as MagicCon Tokyo kicks off May 14th-16th! You may also see an Unannounced Universes Beyond set on the timeline. More details are coming at a later date, but that set will release April 9th.

Our third set of the year is a return to a fan-favorite plane under siege. Kamigawa: Titanbreach releases June 4th! #MTGKamigawa youtu.be/cC6ebvZg-_Q

The set takes place on Kamigawa, but Ikoria is invading for reasons that will become clear later. Recognizable places may look a little different with a few well-placed giant crystals exploding through them. #MTGKamigawa

The team really popped off on creature design for this set. Ikoria monsters and their bonders go head to head with the sleek mechs of Kamigawa and their pilots. #MTGKamigawa

After Kamigawa: Titanbreach comes an Unannounced Universe Beyond set on August 6th. Then, we head back to Las Vegas for our third MagicCon of 2027 on August 27th-29th!

Our third Magic Mutliverse set of 2027 is one of the most anticipated settings we've ever had. Zhalfir releases on October 1st, 2027! #MTGZhalfir youtu.be/ZaUhdKIc-yQ

Magic *Multiverse. We were so excited about Zhalfir that we couldn’t even see the typo.

Zhalfir will feel familiar to longtime players, but this is the first time we see it as a whole plane. #MTGZhalfir

TL:DR for those who haven't been keeping up with the story: During March of the Machine, Zhalfir returned from being phased out by Teferi long ago. It happened to emerge where Mirrodin used to be, hence the multiple suns in this art!

This art is confusing to me -- why do we have vast plains with ancient looking structures? Wasn't this city newly transported to this location? Wasn't it just a single city that Teferi phased out as opposed to large tracts of land?
