Feel like there needs to be some compromise on this one, any change would be temporary and any atmosphere is only helped by away fans

As someone who managed to get a ticket for the south stand v Preston, the first time in the bottom of the SS since the league one days, I can vouch that the place is unreal, absolutely unrivalled buzz about it. It would be utterly shameful to break that up #lufc

Peter

Pull out the boxes and make it all safe standing, for hime fans

Think that would be great post the new west stand, but they’d lose too much revenue doing it now

@lyonsyls11.bsky.social

Stick them in East Stand upper right. Awful spot which they can't fill anyways.

I would prefer not to

The West Stand is about to be redeveloped. Statement of the bleedin’ obvious but adding segregation into an occupied building site is a bit unrealistic. What do you suggest as an alternative?

Make it work, if they can’t, cheese wedge, where they were before

I would prefer not to

@tiredold.bsky.social

I’ve also read elsewhere that recent Prem rules say they have to be pitchside. Cheese wedge is a bit ‘sort of’ in those terms.

Still qualifies though I wager, anyway, Newcastle isn’t

I would prefer not to

@tiredold.bsky.social

Prem has a statutory obligation to provide 3k away. Does the cheese wedge give that?

@mrdavidnwood.bsky.social

Don’t think it’s far off and you’re allowed to reduce it for segregation

David Wood

I think the obligation depends on ground capacity. You only get about 1500 at Brentford & Bournemouth for example & ER’s capacity would probably be reduced during works.
