O_O we may have had the same model. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures and I wouldn't be able to identify the car model. I just remember vague "it was a car"; I can't even remember if it popped open hinged at the back or front.

I only had cable in one room, if I wanted to watch tv in another room, I had to use an antenna. We had cruddy signals due to aluminum siding and only two channels worked.

We lived in the sticks where there was no cable. We had something called “Preview” which broadcast uncut movies over an encrypted OTA signal. It didn’t last for more than a few years.

I’m old enough that my earliest childhood TVs had tubes. I remember the annoyance of having to wait for the tubes to “warm up” while the screen was black, sound only. And of course, they burnt out like light bulbs.

Man, back in my day you had to follow up the words with “I’ve got a plan” followed by a string of literally any word that first came to your brain! We would color our couches orange and get yelled at for it! We would NARF and POIT and ZORT till the cows went cluck cluck AND WE LIKED IT!

And don’t get me started on finding the grownup hammer to break the fourth wall! How were we supposed to which one was the forth wall without checking all of them first?!

You think you have weird stuff with your internet toilets? We had cartoon Bruce Willis as an 11 year old kid taking spy missions from giant cgi Bruce Willis (yes, the therapy bills are still coming in) while going on said missions with one of the sexiest voices alive! Hey, get back here I’m not don

Don't forget about watching the TV guide channel to try and find something to watch and then sometimes just end up watching whatever is on the TV guide instead. It started as ads, before actually adding actual shows to their channel. How did Weeds end up on a channel that's for everyone anyway?
