Just to clarify: Blocksky does not cycle blocks. Blocksky can block accounts, but it has no functionality to unblock accounts Whatever caused the repeated blocking, unblocking, and re-blocking described in Bluesky's suspension notice could not have been Blocksky alone.

but yeah, apparently some quirk in @blocksky.app was cycling blocks, but there's no way for me to know that was happening. also, users are not alerted to blocks unless they seek out a service for this. that is such a tiny, tiny % of users (who are a special breed, i dont even do that.)

Interesting. So what's being experienced by this user here is possibly a flub by @listifications.app ? Or, possibly what? Is there any way a block is being applied to an already blocked account in a way that is causing a notification to be sent?

A block is just a record being created on your account. That can be done even if one already exists. That’s likely what’s happening here. Notifications are sent each time a record is created.

I do get blocks but no notice. I'm guessing those are accounts who have blocked you so you can't notice them?
