Yes, fuck Musk. However, does destroying - what I’m presuming is - a perfectly good EV feel a bit ill conceived? Would rather have seen it sold and the money used to fund more creative actions that might impact Musk’s bottom line.

But then this puts the value of the car itself at a higher point than the value of the symbolism of the action and its image. I'll go with the latter as the most valuable, personally. 🤘

I don’t know, as we accelerate towards environmental collapse, the real value of an EV is in the resources used in its production. Not the figure in $’s. Most of the extraction that went into it, will now - I’m presuming - end up in landfill. There are more creative ways to make the point.

Agree totally. Musk is off the rails, but unless that car was stolen, nothing works out better for him than it being destroyed, as whoever would have bought it otherwise now has to buy a different one. In a small but significant way all this has done is increase scarcity

May come across as trivial to some of you out there but take a moment to consider the monopoly over media platforms by a handful of billionaires and all of them are completely erect at the prospect of sacrificing democracy for a quick injection of cash on a global scale. They need to be revealed.

We own 2 Teslas. We’ll keep them because they will last, though they are older, pre-insane models, not to mention being totally worthless now. We have solar and geothermal and no fossil fuel dependency, which is worth it, putting our money where it matters. Yet, I love seeing this Tesla get crushed!
