The largest mass exodus in the Western Hemisphere won’t be from Venezuela much longer. It’ll be Americans fleeing their own country. Unless the U.S. acts now to dismantle Trump’s fascist, neo-Nazi, pro-Putin kleptocracy. 🧵 Let me explain:

For years, we’ve watched millions of Venezuelans escape authoritarian collapse, corruption, and economic freefall. What’s coming to the U.S. could be worse — because this time, it’s being welcomed, legalized, and normalized from within.

Trump and his allies have made no secret of their intentions: → Absolute power → Dismantling democratic institutions → Persecuting political opponents → Empowering white nationalist, neo-Nazi movements → Aligning with global authoritarian regimes.

The cost? Democratic collapse, violence, mass surveillance, political imprisonment, economic instability — and for many, the terrifying choice to leave the country to survive.

Think that sounds extreme? Ask Venezuelans, Turks, Russians, or anyone who fled Hungary, Nicaragua, or Brazil under authoritarian waves. They all thought, "It can't happen here." Until it did.

The window to stop this is closing fast. If Americans don’t act — through courts, institutions, civic pressure, and massive turnout — the next great refugee crisis will come from within the United States.
