I’m working on a little digital series for illustrators on how to work with Art Directors and what we might be looking for in portfolios! If you have any questions leave them here and I can try to accommodate them!

On a website, do ADs care if images are labelled by project/client/as personal work/at all? I’ve always thought it was important to be clear what something is for but I’ve had a couple friends disagree and tell me to take out the labels because they’re just cluttering up my site

Just my opinion, but as an art director I didn’t care if the work was for a client or personal. I wanted to see the persons ability and thinking process. Not sure you are wrong either way regarding labels.

That sounds fantastic! Definitely going to be looking forward to that. As someone who is trying too break into the field and am struggling finding where my artstyle fits, do you have any recommendations for finding where my style is best suited (I know part of it is posting online, working on that!
