Thinking of switching from (the enshittified) Spotify over to Tidal. Reasons: - Less intrusive UI - Better music quality - More money to artists (maybe?) Anyone else made the switch, or have used Tidal? Apple Music also a consideration.

I'm using Tidal & like it and the audio quality. BUT I've seen where people have complaints too. Ex: 1) artists radio lacking 2) if you were also using Spotify for podcasts 3) moving playlists (there are some tools to do it but the ones I've found are paid.) 4) no auto-repeat a playlist.

Also to note is that downgrading Spotify just puts you on the free account with ads so it’s not as harsh as a complete cancelation. All your playlists can hang out there in case you change your mind. I did a couple of months overlapped then downgraded Spotify.

I switched a few months ago. They definitely pay artists more (see the table at www.soundguys.com/tidal-vs-spo...). Overall I'm happy. It's very similar really, nothing substantially better but definitely not worse either. My hearing isn't good enough to appreciate the difference in sound quality!
