Writing advice: If you're stuck, the best thing to do is put it aside and go back to it cold. If you're still stuck, read it aloud. If you're still stuck, retype the whole freakin' section out again. The whole chapter if you need to, word for word. Your brain will nope out on the problem.

Walk away from it as long as you can, so when you reread it the text is no longer fresh in your mind.

I have found that's a good way to suddenly find the problem with not the thing I was trying to get unstuck on, but some *other* thing I was stuck on. It still works for me eventually, just in a convoluted way.

I have found success with "The problem is not the sentence you're stuck on. The problem is roughly 2 paragraphs back and you're only realizing it's a problem now."
