They really don't make them like this often enough any more. Weird, rad anime originals used to be the entire upside of the satellite/UHF broadcasting explosion & streaming really should've kept that ball in the air, but we're in adaptation & sequel hell. I'm barely watching anything this season.

Today we're returning to the fraught fairways of high-stakes underground golfing, for an episode that involves both golf course mecha transformations and nefarious pheromone-based skullduggery. That's right, it's time for some god damn Birdie Wing! wrongeverytime.com/2026/10/23/b...

Yeah. This new shit sucks. When I watch anime, it's usually just the mainstays or some older or underrated anime. I'm currently on Excel Saga, hence my PFP.

Anime becoming 'very safe' is def the worst thing to have happened to it. And the same can be said for most media anywhere even.

Yeah, all mediums right now - anime/animation broadly, manga/comics, games, TV, film, books, music/radio & even live venues - at least in their most mainstream/commercial iterations, are unusually stagnant vs. where the edge of the culture is. It's interesting indies vs. dull studio "content." 🤮
