I wish I had a nice trust fund so I could get my media studies masters with a focus on lazy pseudo journalism that normalizes or outright ignores corruption I genuinely find it fascinating how outlets and their employees have normalized this sort of stuff

I do sometimes wonder what separates the callow, shallow and venal mock journalists from the rest of us. Do those of us who care about fairness and justice and right and wrong simply know what it’s like to suffer? To be betrayed by authority that was supposed to protect us?

They're really quite well conditioned to not understand they're not doing a wonderful job

I hold that introspection is a quality.
