the "funny" thing is these tariffs and USAID impacts are just the orchestra warming up we haven't even begun to see the downstream cumulative concussive impact of gutting consumer protection, public safety oversight, or the dismantling of the social safety net

Was just saying this to my husband who was asking why more people aren't up in arms about all these actions...these have lagging effects that won't impact most people immediately

it might take a bit, but it will be a series of terrible, unprecedented concussive impacts that will absolutely not be subtle

Which will be spun as lingering effects of DEIA and enough of the electorate will buy it that they retain power. Remember, they're the party that's good for the economy!
