I feel like as a journalist if you don't include the numerous times this man has been preposterously full of shit somewhere in your first two paragraphs you're failing both humanity and your readership

I like how there's ZERO mention by the NYT of the fact musk has spent the last year primarily coddling white supremacists and authoritarian propagandists must just not be newsworthy that a guy like that receives billions in taxpayer dollars and has numerous significant security clearances

to be fair, let's remember the NYT's coverage in the leadup to both WW2 and the invasion of Iraq: this is par for the paper's ideological course

long, long history of a class bias that normalizes authoritarianism, yes sir

it's one of those sad things where it's upsetting because you know the damage it's doing, and yet you can't bring yourself to be as outraged because the assailant is such a known quantity.
