9yo in a school assignment that asked, "Why is it important to show selflessness?": "It is important to be selfless and to show gratitude because people will like you more" 🤔

I dunno, I kinda find Plato's whole thing unconvincing and a precursor to shitty "intuition pump" fantastic hypptheticals as arguments

even if we teach different answers i think it's important to grapple with the question!
