How did the US get into this mess you may ask. It's because Republicans have spent the last 20 years saying "no" to nearly every bill proposed to stimulate the economy.

Remember when we were going to revitalize our national infrastructure, which would have brought tons of money to red and blue states all over, modernized transit, etc?

All the social safety net initiatives Republicans shit down that would have given people the ability to start businesses and take career risks? Or education initiatives to make sure we are training people in fields we need more expertise in?

Or real immigration reform that allows foreign nationals to stay in the country to continue to innovate here instead of going home to China or India?
