I don't see why it shouldn't be possible... probably not super easy but definitely possible. Have you found some problems in svelte trying to implement it?

I have a reorder component that while dragging should rerender on position swap and animate but the rerender causes jumping to end of list and no layout animation of swapping position. I have other simpler components that the layout animation works fine with. Curious to hear your thoughts.

If you can build a minimal repro I can take a look but like this is impossible to tell 😁
