Folks demanding that Carl be first and foremost cast to fit their personal preferences for hotness is supremely ironic given the themes of the whole DCC series 👀

I'm only at the start and I get he's supposed to have like Cavill aesthetic but also he at least currently has a deeply unattractive personality (my partner who is much further along tells me this is the point) so kind of weird character to be thirsty for?

He does have a strong character arc, part development and part growth! But I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say the most prominent themes revolve around reducing people to things, and critique of our culture’s exploitative treatment of entertainers as disposable eye-candy 🤷

This conversation also just made me realize how kind of super fucked up it is that they play the show in the rest areas which furthers that loop, doesn't it. If they're making this into a visual series the real question is what kind of cat they're going to cast. I want a real Donut!
