I've been saying only the individual members of The Beatles and the Wu-Tang Clan have gone on to make great solo records, but I forgot Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon have developed two pretty radical interpretations of sound post Sonic Youth.

Tbh I haven't listened to much of the post-One Direction music :p My thought was more, Which band members went in drastically different directions solo? I assumed they were mostly in the same lane of pop.
