hmmm can you go into more detail? Is this about "embedding different documents into each other"? Or something else? Seems like it wouldn't be too difficult... would just need to have affordances for selection / clipboard management

To demo it using Capacities - you basically have "edge blocks" that as their only child have some other block (from the same document or some other document) and you get both rendering in place *and* editing in place. Basically the same content is exposed for rendering and editing in two places.

Engineering that capability has been a longer-term interest of mine and it's why I pay so much attention to the block-based editors who expose ID-based paths (such as Svedit). Only with that infrastructure you can property locate and contextualize edits. (Including "circuit-breaking" the paths)
