I have nothing against drivers. I just don’t think it’s OK for some to decide rules are for other people. And I find it baffling that so many drivers who purport to be law-abiding want to make that argument.

I find that baffling too and am in total agreement with you that drivers should follow all the rules of the road and be punished if they break them. So lovely to find a fellow Highway Code appreciator here!
