I genuinely believe anti-tracing ideology is a slipery slope. Because it then becomes oh well in that case if you photobash youre also cheating! and then if you use too much reference you're cheating! and then actually, if you think about it, digital art is lowkey cheating!

mixed media is cheating! Photography is cheating! The only real and valid skill is accurately capturing something with lines you draw with nothing but your hand, using minimal-to-no reference! Composition? Design? Colour-grading? Compositing? Typography? Silhouette? Those aren't real skills i guess!
