Electrified cement production still causes CO2 emissions due to its chemistry (CaCO3->CaO+CO2). However, eliminating fossil fuel emissions makes capturing that remaining CO2 and implementing CCS much easier. I explained that back in 2023: industrydecarbonization.com/news/cements...
