Pokémon scalpers are complaining that the franchise's new 30th Anniversary set has been too generous with its rare cards — leaving resellers unable to generate their usual profits. And everyone applauded. https://bit.ly/4hGIJKf

Lol, nope, you get to pay 2-3x retail unless you have 4-8 hours to devote to standing in line (or the will to try to beat an army of bots when the odd online drop occurs.

They could still make money, but they insist on making 250-300% profit. I might be willing, begrudgingly, to pay a small premium, but I'm not paying $100 over retail (which is already above MSRP because they're fucking vultures, too), especially when the secondary card values are in the toilet

I don't follow them, actually. Caught a repost. Don't let that get away with smug sense of self satisfaction on the internet. I'm just wondering why scalpers deserve a pity article. Also not sure how whether I follow them or not would validate that. Go on, though.

Good, for the scalper's next trick they should try getting hit by a bus, I heard when they do that money explodes from the bus to pad them from impact. They should try getting hit by a bus to make money since getting a job is too hard for these worthless parasites.

Not to be “that guy,” but is this the same IGN who partners with TCGPlayer with direct links and “these are the most valuable cards from these sets” articles every time a new set is released?
