RTD showed he lost it. But.. this sounds like DW is sitting on the shelf indefinitely rather than having a plan to bring it back in the next year or 2

They really painted themselves into a corner with that last doctor choice.

I really didnt see the issues with the recent season. Yes there are really good episodes and really meh episodes, thats just Doctor Who. This last season has been the most Doctor Who feeling season in a while and I really enjoyed it, I just think people expected a bit too much from it.

Maybe so, but I’d still like them to try. I bet some people said the same thing before DW 2005 started. ;)

My issue with recent doctor who was it felt like they were trying to hard to subvert expectations and get the writers personal beliefs. The best episodes from the recent stuff were the ones not written by Russell.

It definitely needs some thinking about and careful planning before it (hopefully) comes back
