I get asked this question quite a lot, so I decided to write a post about it: "How can I better prepare for an Algorithms interview?" matanbobi.dev/posts/tips-f...

the interviewer is rooting for you. they want to fill the role asap and are tired of interviewing. they wanna hear how you think and get a sense of how it'll be working with you, the end result is not that important. be pragmatic, organized. ask a lot of questions. it's not the job of your life.

I 100% agree with this, but it really depends on the interviewer. I've had a few that it didn't feel like they rooted for me at all. Interviewing is a skill as I mentioned in the post - for both sides. Some interviewers don't know how to interview.

had some like that as well. it tells a lot about the culture there. should be a reason to say no to that company if you proceed.

Can we yell this on the streets? "If your interviewer is an asshole, don't join"
