Finally finished my Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe web game, or enough to call it a 1.0! Has online multiplayer and three game modes! github.com/ibll/uttt I've seen a few web versions of UTTT, but only ever seen larger versions in pictures of whiteboards on Reddit! 🧵

In Ultimate TTT, where you can play is determined by your opponent's last move. This means the most important element of your move usually isn't where your piece is, but where your opponent's next piece CAN be. 🧵

ULTIMATE Ultimate TTT takes all this the next logical step. If you ignore the very smallest pieces entirely, when we win a cell (the slightly bigger pieces), we go to that corresponding board on the big board. If you bring the tiny pieces back into the picture, we can do the same process again! 🧵

Finally, there's endless mode. Every game you win was merely a small portion of a larger game. There are no winners, only quitters.

This is the biggest project I've worked on until now! I'm not hosting it anywhere yet. If anyone has recommendations for cheap server hosting or whatever, I'd love to hear it! I had lots of fun making it :)
