👀 I am looking now. I just grabbed a super cheap one from the local art store in Ballard, but I can tell I’m gonna end up with a few more

They haven't been open long, but I know they did a Fountain Pen 101 class recently and will probably do it again. And JetPens sells a fountain pen starter kit that's perpetually out of stock, but I think you can get notified when it comes back. It's a somewhat-affordable way to try several at once.

Fountain pens are fun, and the nerdier you are, the more you can enjoy them. They were made for people who like to tinker and experiment. There are some decent pens out there that don't cost a ton of money. I've had good luck with some very nice Chinese-made pens, for instance.

I have a fountain pen problem. I can't seem to have enough. They are art to me. I have a stainless steel one I use mostly at work for signing documents but the really pretty ones just sit at home.
