I'm not so sure about that. Military leaders should be apolitical in their military roles at least. The regime will fire those who speak out. Might be best for the regime to figure out the military won't implement illegal orders when they try to give them rather than filling ranks with yes-men.

Typically, our Military leaders don't voice their opinions about political issues, they prefer to remain above the fray and stay out of the kerfuffle until circumstances dictate otherwise.
