I planned to write a comedy schlock sci-fi horror. But it's not really turning out that way - much bleaker and more philosophical. AND WE'RE ENTERING THE DARK HALF OF THE YEAR This stupid book makes me feel happy and alive for the first time in forever, but hoo boy.. it's about to get very weird.

Okay! Today I hammered out nearly 2k words and IT'S GOOD. It's also SO NOT ON TARGET - thematically.. tonally.. Arrghh. I'm used to creative projects taking on a life of their own, not sure why I expected books to be some kind of exception 🙃
