feeling the ennui of a general mourning the loss of his greatest opponent watching that leaked mass effect trailer. you were meant to release and be really successful then i would critique the post-9/11 only a black ops strongman unburdened by bureaucracy can make the hard, violent choices ideology

so many ghosts of the obama era keep leaving us like this. its truly heartbreaking. we should be able to go "wow this is stupid and bad" one last time before it gets taken outback

All those space aliens we would have to defend genocide to, all those companions who turn out to be confusingly racist or libertarian, all those outdated references to internet jokes from 5 years prior because making games takes forever, lost to time

Uesugi Kenshin only wept publicly twice in his life: -Upon learning of the death of Takeda Shingen -Upon being reminded he could not romance Liara in a fourth game

making liara your new illusive man is a really fun idea i wonder if they'd have truly had the confidence to take that to its logical conclusion about how evil she is.... now we can never know...

we'll just have to stick to saying it about the original games and have everybody look at us weird for saying mean things about their childhood best friend, garrus vakarian

Btw play Avowed if you love Brandon Keener’s performance but hate Garrus “Every cop cliche as a character” Valarian. (I love my scaly bisexual disillusioned-by-imperialism, idealistic-but-keenly-aware-of-the-human-costs sad boy)

"loose cannon cop who plays by his own rules" is one of those cases where there's a fundamental conflict between something having undesirable ideological interpretations while also being objectively conducive to engaging storytelling

Nothing of value was lost imo. Like a few other studios I won't name they have been unable to truly deliver for years. 5 (!) years since their Mass Effect 4 teaser. If the trailer is real it is just more of what ruined Mass Effect for me. Boring Bioware raunch.
