in 1996 if you were a kid you saw wave race 64 and were like holy shit. holy shit look at those waves. feel the waves. on a home console too. i cant imagine what comes next. and then it just never got better than that actually

Water was always something I felt like was a generation ahead for some reason. You go back and look at Wave Race or idk Jak and Daxter and it looks like shit now but at the time on a CRT it was like oh my god that's real water

I once got in a very heated argument about whether GG Strive looks better than Third Strike. I will never move on this, TS is simply the apex of sprite-based gaming.
