i have done what many said is impossible. i have made an order guide for playing the entire kingdom hearts series, for normal people. i hope this can be a helpful resource to at least one person out there:

My one criticism is that I think The Sorcerer's Apprentice should go along with Sleeping Beauty et al in the "series-long relevance" tier, just because Yen Sid is a major supporting character and it helps to sort of... "ground" the idea of "Mickey Mouse, Wizard King"?

Like that's something people often make fun of but when you contextualise it as "this is a grown up, more mature Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey" then it kind of falls into place.

Yeah! Plus it's 1) short and 2) good

Side note but it remains incredibly funny that they didn't actually have to write any backstory to justify "Mickey Mouse, swordsman/wizard/king", because all three of those are justified by Sorcerer's Apprentice and Three Musketeers.
