wait ffxv is 10 this year oh god lol

i know i am extremely busy with family and health and life stuff this year so expect very little writing from me but you know i will be pitching for the anniversary. i would like to play 1.0 (there’s a mod for pc now that restores it!) and talk about that. that’s an achievable 2026 goal

rethinking all my projects from the scale of “grand criticism of the entire history of rpgs” to “play one game this year.” the 2026 of putting my health first lol

i really need to sit down and play all the way through it. what is the big deal about 1.0 versus the recent versions?

they retconnned a bunch of stuff and changed even more. i’m also curious! the mod seems pretty smart it changes most things back to 1.0 but keeps a few things from the day one patch like extra fishing spots lol
