nobuo uematsu is possibly the most famous and well acclaimed video game composer of all time. indisputably he's in the top 3. and i'm gonnna say it: he's probably still underrated

I think if you made a top 5 vgm composers of all time list, and they all regularly worked with Square, you'd still have a hard time disagreeing with it on principle

Tbh I think the only non-Square VGM artists who is popular enough for this kind of ranking and would fit is like. Shoji Meguro lol.
