2026 mini thread! starting off with a dirty white armor scheme. Regular acrylic base and highlights, sponged on some chips, and then a coat of streaking grime. I think the sculpt is a Trench Crusade alt I found in MMF.

So, it's about bubbles. Which come in two types – mold bubbles (marked red, cavity in the mold) and casting bubbles (cavity in the cast, marked greenish). The first, important kind is usually mitigated by pouring the silicone in thin layers – so making several molds at once really helps there.

Mold bubbles happen when the air (trapped in silicone during mixing) fails to escape, trapped under the model. So without pressure chambers, making a mold involves a lot of blowing air through a tube onto the surface. Casting bubbles are easier to work with, since you can just fill it in.
