Uh, is there such thing as an ocean feeding bat?

Bats out at sea? One of the core pleasures of sailing & even anchoring inshore is the lack of insects. What are sea bats eating? Can't be anything in the water, their squeaks wouldn't penetrate. Plenty of sand flies on the tide line, but wind turbines are usually a few miles off shore.
