It’s crazy that the visual treatement of how to make a movie feel like a video game pioneered by Edgar Wright with the Scott Pilgrim movie has become the blueprint for the new Street Figther film. Don’t get me wrong it looks cool but thought Wright directed it during the trailer not Kitao Sakurai.

Don’t think I won’t give flowers to things like Kung Fu Hustle or Shaolin Soccer as clear proto-live-action adaptations of anime action in film but really feel like Wright westernized it in a way that left his fingerprints on it.
