NEW: New Mexico AG, @nmdoj.bsky.social, just announces that a judge has issued a judgment in the amount of $25 BILLION against Meta for lying to consumers and users about how Meta collected, protected, shared, and used their personal information.

I avoided Twitter/Instagram/etc. 'cause I didn't need them for work & they're top examples of why the US desperately needs new privacy laws. Bsky's the first personal social media I've ever used because I control what I see and accts are technically interoperable with any other AT Protocol platform.
