3/ Jaime emphasised that wetland restoration must be planned with a long-term perspective, citing the use of species distribution models to assess their viability under #future climate scenarios as an example. He gave examples of previous FIC as #Forestecco project.

4/ Regarding the necessary climate information: it is not enough to look at the restoration area alone. A wider area must be analysed to understand how hydrological conditions will change. And when asked what to avoid when restoring a wetland, the answer was clear ⬇️
